    Default Eagle Alloy 109's

I have a 02 with 16 inch rims and worn out BFG AT/KO 265/75R16 tires. I also have a set of brand new Pirelli 265/70R17 SUV tires lying around. I am thinking of purchasing a set of 17 X 8 Eagle 109 rims for the Pirellis and mounting snow tires on my factory rims. The tires seem to be the same diameter as what's on there but the wider rim makes me think it might have rubbing issues, anyone tried this before?

I have 265/70/17s on my Sequoia. If your new wheels have the same offset as your old wheels, they won't rub.Go to miata.net/garage,click on wheels and tires ,then click on tire size calculator and compare. You can enter the old tire size and the new tire size and it will give you all the info you are looking for.

Thanks, I already added the calculator to my favourites, nice tool. I am very sure the tires will fit but I don't know about the rims. The new rims are +12mm offset on a 17 X 8 rim. The factory ones are 16 X 7 but I have not measured the offset. I guess if the offset is the same I should be ok but I don't know what it is. I have wheel ALY69408U10 nobody ever mentions the offset on any website but I noticed tundra rims that are 15mm, mine are probably the same. I'm thinking it will fit but I just thought I'd ask.

I got the wheels yesterday, Chrome 17 X 8 Eagle Alloy 109's with the E range 265/70-17 Pirelli's Scorpion STR-A's. The fit is perfect and compared to my stock 2002 16's with 30% tread BFG AT K/O's the computer says average about 19.5 MPG instead of 16.5 - I think that worked out OK. The truck feels way smoother and accelerates faster. Now I'm throwing on some snow/ice tires on my stockers, I'm thinking Bridgestone Blizzak W965's in a 265/75-16 E range.
