    Default Factory Style Running Boards

Hi everyone! Last month we just purchased our 2006 Sequoia SR5 2WD with minimal options/accessories, Silver Sky Metallic for under $30K after all rebates! We've been shopping around for several months and finally sold our minivan. We are absolutely satisfied with the SUV and the Toyota brand, after owning a 98 4Runner, which never has given us any problems. By the way, we have 2 small children (7 and 4), and this is the wife's daily vehicle and our travel vehicle.

So far our mods/upgrades have been: 22" chrome Divino rims wrapped with Nitto 255/45/22 tires, Sirius Radio w/direct connection, WeatherTech Bug Shield, and WeatherTech Wind Deflectors.

Our future mods/upgrades will be: running boards, rear spoiler, stealthbox sub, DVD entertainment, GPS, rear-view camera/monitor, aluminum interior trim accents, and window tint for the driver & passenger windows.

We have a question for the forum regarding running boards. We understand that there are differences between years 2001-2006. The majority of running boards found online are separated by years 2001-2004 and 2005-2006. Our question is this... Should we be only looking for 2005-2006 running boards or will we be able to mount previous year running boards on our 2006 Sequoia? ALSO, which brand does Toyota (SET) use at the port?

Thanks for any replies in advance and thanks for a great forum. We have found this forum very friendly and informative. We will have pictures up shortly!

It's unbelievable! Two weeks pass by with no replies. I know someone out there has installed aftermarket OEM running boards.

You Should Be Able To Use 2001- 2006 Running Boards If I Recall I Think The Wire Harness Set Up Might Be Different, its Been A While, but All You Have To Do Is Hook Them Up To The Dome Light Connector At The Left Side Kick Panel,if You Want To Get Back To Me I Will Look At My Instructions At Work I Have 3 Different Years Of Sequoia For Running Boards That I Have Put On.

Thanks for your reply DSTundra06! I need to know if the length of running board and mounting brackets remain the same throughout 2001-2006. Since I see that some boards are described as being for 2001-2004, I just wanted to make sure before purchasing.
