When I put my Sequoia in drive position the GREEN LED in the dashboard doesn't come on. Also, my 1 and 2 garage door buttons above the rear view mirror do not light up when I have the headlights on at night. They work and everything, its just that they do not light up at night when the headlights are on. I was wondering how I can fix these issues, please help. Any solutions, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
There are other threads about how these bulbs can be replaced but it requires taking things apart to an extraordinary degree, in my opinion. I've just decided to live with it.

Your truck is a 2006, it's not your problem. Bring it to the dealer and tell them to fix it!!! Johnnnny

You must be driving my 01 Sequoia! Ha… I have the exact same problem. Just need to replace the light bulbs as stated. Their are right-ups on how to open the dash and overhead counsel. Do a ‘search’. Some day I’ll fix it when I have nothing else to do. Right know my rear hatch handle broke due to the hatch being frozen from overnight freezing weather. All common quarks with the Sequoia.
My Sequoia is a 2001, so I guess I'm screwed!! I guess I'll just live with it. Thanks guys for your feedback!!!
I am sorry, I thought you just had a 2006 Sequoia. I didn't know you have a 2001 as well. You should add the 2001 to your garage so everyone knows you could be talking about either a 2001 or a 2006. Johnnnny

Overnight freezing weather in Escondido. Global warming my foot!
It's not that hard to replace the bulbs on the gauge cluster and the head console. You can only buy the bulbs at the dealer. It was posted here. When I get a chance I will snap some picture and post it on how to remove the gauge cluster and the head console.

There are two screws under the sunglass holder, remove them. Pull down on the upper console (assuming you have a sunroof--if not, check all the compartments for screws then pull down). Disconnect the wiring harness and replace the bulbs. There are five little bulb holders in a PCB, remove the blown bulbs and replace with the new.
The dash trim piece is held in by two screws at the top of the ring; remove them and work the trim piece out. There are four screws holding the instrument cluster in. It has been so long since I pulled mine out, I can't tell you if you need to remove any of the lower dash. For some reason I remember doing so but I can't remember why. It involves a lot of wiggling of the steering wheel and all the trim.
