Default adjusting windshield wiper

Does anyone know how to adjust the windshield wiper's range of motion without taking them off and repositioning the arms? My wipers are hitting the side of the window moulding and making a racket, its getting annoying on these rainy days. BTW they are the correct wipers for the vehicle they just travel too far to the passengers side

You need to remove the arm, there is NO other way. I had to do the same thing after an ice storm it got a little bent. It's VERY easy to do though. All you have to do is pull the cap back with your hand and put the rite size socket over the nut and remove the nut. Then just pull the wiper arm off and put it back on again in the rite spot. It took me 20 minutes to find the rite size socket and rachet handle and then it took me less then 5 minutes to do the job. But it was VERY easy!! Johnnnny

I replaced my wiper linkage, replaced the arms and turned it on. The range of motion is perfect. But, when turned off, they go to the bottom and then retrace to the middle of the windshield and stop.

I know one of you guys know what I have done wrong. What stops the motor?
