Default Weird electrical issue...

I have an issue with my door power ammenities. All at one time, both power windows and my driver side power lock stopped working. I can still lock and unlock doors with my key-remote and with the lock button on the passenger side.

I have been going through the trouble shooting guide in the shop manual, the first thing was check fuses, whcih I did and all are good. The next thing is the ignition switch. This would make sense to me if it was just the windows, becuase both sides are affected. But how could the passenger lock still work, and the all of the locks still work with the remote?

Should I still check/ replace igniton switch? Or do the symptoms suggest something else. What is the part number for the switch?

Were you in the drivers door recently?
Check your connection within the drivers door.

I installed my door speakers and 2-3 months later my power windows/locks stopped working, while my remote still works.

Even if you were'nt in the door, It might have come loose.

The driver's side switch is the master, any switch issues here will effect the passenger side as well.

It sounds like the drivers side switch panel to me. Check in there before you buy an ignition switch.

An ignition switch would not be the cause of this, you would definately have more things not working as there are a number of circuits tied to the same point. The driver door switch(s) are most likely the cause, perhaps just a loose connector. Try unplugging and replugging each connector and listen for a definite "click" to ensure they lock back correctly.
