Default '04 Tacoma and Double Ground Plugs

My 3.4L V6 calls for using Double Ground Plugs-in the owners manual-and under the hood.

The auto shops list Iridium and Platinum plugs for this engine that are only single ground.

I want to upgrade to a better and longer life plug-but dont know if I have many options. NGK makes a platinum post only- double ground plug. Nobody seems to make a platinum-platinum double ground. And the NGK Iridium is only single ground.

Why the big deal over double ground ? I thought that was only important when considering coffee.

Denso Iridiums will work great in the truck. The double ground thing is pretty much a hype. I went through 3 sets of plugs on my 3.4 when I had it.

Gap .044 for all plugs!

NGK
Standard BKR5EKB-11
Iridium IX BKR5EIX-11

Denso
Standard K16TR11
Premium PK16TR11
Iridium IK16 <-- GETS MY VOTE

I never could tell the difference, I went through some Bosch single ground platinums, ran great, now I have the Bosch double ground platinums and they work great too. Went through NGK OEM replacements, never found a difference between any of them have 160K now and next plugs will be Denso Iridium... Single ground
