The interrior brake light comes on for a little while then goes away? The brakes are working great still. I have about 83k miles on it now. Is their a way to reset the computer so the light doesn't come on any more. I think it is a timing thing mabye for how many miles I have on it. I think this is the dealers way of making more money.

Anyways thanks for reading.

Are you talking about the brake light on the instrument panel. If so does it only happen when you are coming to a stop and then it goes away? If so the brake fluid could be a little low. If that is the case when you are coming to a stop the fluid is sloshing around and triggering the brake light due to low fluid. The fluid gets low when your leaking it or it also goes down as you front brakes get worn because the more pad that is gone the more fluid that is stored in the caliper. Hope this helps

Yes it comes on when I am breaking and then goes off after a while. I will try to fill up the break fluid and see if that helps.

Thanks

I would also check the brakes. The light is an indication of the brake pads being low. That's usually why the fluid is low.

Check your fluid. Mine did that for a while and it turned out to be just a little low on fluid.

Sounds like the fluid level to me. If not that, then it's probably your pads are worn.

This is the correct response. Brake fluid shouldn't just be disappearing from your reservoir.
