Default Help with squealing noise

My girlfriend has a 2001 Tacoma Pre-Runner. She has developed a squealing noise and she has had all belts, a/c pulley, and right front wheel bearing replaced. The squeal is still there, and sounds like metal on metal. It even does it while coasting with the engine off. Anybody with any ideas would be appreciated, its driving us nuts.

Is it a grinding noise? You said its metal on metal sounding. Does it change when you turn. I had a grinding noise in the front end and it stopped doing it if I turned right. The dealer replace the right front wheel bearing. $550 later it still made the noise. I took it to another dealer and they replace the left front and now it is as good as new. See if noise changes get on a four lane road with not much traffic and when going a good speed hearing the noise go abrupty to left then right see if it changes. Watch for traffic!

I had the same prob with mine about a year ago. It sounds like its the center carrier bearing on your drive shaft. They make a horrible squealing sound, it also increases with speed.

Hope this helps isolate the problem.
