2002 Tacoma in snow: thumbs up!
Today was the Taco's first serious test: 125 miles of highway driving in slush and intermittent snow cover on a day when the police warned motorists to stay off the roads. The Dayton Rough Rider A/T's may look trashy and bump along on dry pavement, but they really can reach through the slush to maintain traction at highway speeds. The worse the conditions, the better it drove.
Changing lanes on a slushy highway is probably the most dangerous thing Canadians regularly do. I particularly like the way the Taco turns in and out with one wheel in the slush. (This is in 4WD, of course.) It gave a smooth, fast and honest ride, and got the new snowblower home in time to clean the driveway.
