2002 prerunner dcab v6 - temp gauge question - is this normal?

Looks fine to me. Flush the coolant if you haven't done it in awhile.

My 01 with v-6 has always been a little over half even after new fluid and water pump. It does seem high when you compare it to other vehicles but i think thats how tacomas are. My Honda civic temp needle only goes about a quarter of the way up. I wouldnt sweat it mines about the same

Have you ever changed the thermostat? Maybe it is sticking a little.

normal. my dad and brother in law has tacos and the temp does seem high, but it's normal.
