This is a discussion thread titled "Cup Holder Plastic Thingees", within the 1Gen-Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Wondering if anyone knows if the plastic/foam thingees that hold the cup firmly in the cup holders in the center console can be replaced. I havent torn into it to see if possible.
Dont know if its the summer heat in Phoenix, but mine have all broken off.
Only complaint after 113K of trouble free miles..........
I dont believe there's a way to replace them, at least I've never seen a way, or even looked deeper into it. I'd think they are only there to keep different size cups from moving around. Using those foam can holders and stuffing them into the cup holder will probably do just as good.

If your talking about the foam things that stick out of the cup holder to hold the cups tight you can replace them. Mine were bad and i found a place that sold them online. For some reason my dealer doesnt show a part number for them. I think I paid 6 for them. Here is the link

Install was easy you just unscrew and unbolt your center counsel and flip it over and those tabs have phillips screws you unscrew. Then put the new ones in and put everything back together in the reverse order. 20 min tops to do everything. One thing to be careful of is overtightening the philips heard screws that hold the tabs into place i tightened one to much and it started poking threw on the other side. But overall easy to do
