If you're doing some real off-roading, I'd consider it for sure. If you do it occasionally with mild terrain, you don't need it. The stock belly pan is not a skid plate anyway though. It's not designed to take impact.

Bought one a few weeks after smashing my stock skidplate in half on my 1st trip out to the dezert. Definitely built to last and will take some abuse. It is heavy at about 52lbs so use a jack or get someone's help to mount the sucker. Stronger and more convienient oil changes

Just put all three (front,transmission and trnsfer case) on my 03Tacoma. I hope you got a floor jack, these things are beefy.
Your trucks just about indestructable now. Those things look very tough. They are pretty expensive though. I was just looking at them for a 2nd Gens for kicks.
