This is a discussion thread titled "How to remove door panel on 2000 Tacoma?", within the 1Gen-Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
It's pretty straight forward. Just make sure you remove all the philips head screws and I think there are two 10mm bolts for the handle. The biggest PITA will be sliding the panel over the locks and sliding the handle out of place. You'll eventually get it.

I've done this numerous times on my old '99 with power locks/windows and also on my current 2000 without power. It may take a minute or two to locate everything, but you'll get the hang of it. Not much to it after that.
