Default drive shaft clunk after lubbing?

hello all. new to the boards here. i mostly hang around honda boards as i am a honda tech employeed at dealership.

i have a strange problem with my 00' tacoma ext cab 4x4 5 speed.
i have been reading alot of posts about the typical drive shaft clunk and the noise came to me kinda opposite from everybody else.

i changed my oil today and lubbed my drive shaft which i do every 5000 miles. i used synthetic grease and ever since i greased the drive shaft ive notice this pop/clunk when pulling out from a stop.

if i pull out slowly it dosent pop. it won't do it in reverse. i tried leaning it agianst the e brake thinking that i might be a u joint or a motor mount, but i dosen't do it then either. the only time it will do it is when accelerating. it will do it the worst when pulling out from a stop but i can feel it a little bit when going from a coast to accelerating in 2nd and a little in 3rd.

the reason im asking is because the majority of the answers to the problem have been to grease the slip yoke but my problem has seem to come as a result of greasing the drive shaft.

anybody have any ideas? this is the first time me or my father have felt the pop in 110,xxx miles. (my father is the first owner, im the second)

I think what you are explaning is axle wrap. It seems most Tacomas have it sometimes it feels like some one is tapping the rear end of your truck. Its strange that the problem came after greasing. But If you put to much grease in the slip yoke it extends the driveshaft causing the problem more. At least that what was happing to my taco. I ended up taking it to a driveshaft shop and they freed up the slip yoke completely and has been good since. Hope this helps....
