I have a 2003 Tacoma Pre-Runner, which is 2wd and does not have TRD package. I just bought a boat that weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 3000 pounds. I'm kind of concerned about pulling the boat out of the water especially on a slippery wet surface. I'm sure that somone out there has dealt with this problem and I'm almost sure that it's no big deal, but still wanted to get some feedback. Thanks.

Do you have the TRD package? If so it should come with a limited slip rearend.
I've pulled a boat weighing about 2,000# with mine and had no problems on the ramps. Just make sure you have about 10% of the weight on the trailer tongue and I think you will be ok. Mine is a 4 cyl, and leaves a lot to be desire when pulling down the highway.
