Default Interior lighting changes

(2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab)
I'm contemplating changing out my dash and climate control bulbs from amber to green. If possible I would rather not use LED's. Also, as my truck is dark green and I think it would look cool. I would like to switch out all the bulbs in the cab (dome, courtesy, glove box) and replace them with green bulbs (LED is ok). Has anyone done anything like this? Which bulbs, and how many, will I need to do this?

All of these can be done, except the climate controls and maybe glove box.

The gauge cluster takes 4 194 bulbs. Best to use superwhite, yellow, or blue. Other colors will not emit enough light.

Here's a shot of my 03 Tacoma I did back in the day using Superwhite bulbs.

Here is your list of bulbs throughout the truck.

Anytime! I know the 96-04 era Tacoma inside out since I've owned 3 of them

If you guys do decide to modify your lights, just remember to HOOKUP THE FACTORY DIMMER SWITCH! Yeah, I kinda had the whole dash back together and went to turn on the lights. When nothing happened, it was a homer simpson moment.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but if you want to change the color to green, then I believe the 3rd Gen 4Runner lights will be a direct fit (01-02). The climate control lights are special bulbs only available from Toyota, so you can't go aftermarket.

This is funny, because when I had a 4Runner, I wanted to change mine from green to amber. Love amber, as I used to have it in my old BMW, Honda and Acura.

Is it a big job to change out all of those? I'm thinking of the white like you did, that looks good and clean

You could probably use some stage lighting gel sheets to color the lights any tint you want...about $7 a sheet.

Probably about 30 minutes from start to finish. The hardest part is taking the dash pieces off to get to the cluster itself.
