Default 1999 taco trailer wiring.

Ok, Been trying to figure this out through searching but found very little. I bought the harness that plugs into the tail lights for the standard 4 flat wire plug. I also have a converter the goes from the 4> 7 with the additional wires for the 12v+ neg. and the signal from the brake controller. Where do i get a signal from to get a signal to the brake controller. Brake pressure switch? Look breifly with no luck. Anyone have any pics of where to hook it? Just fyi its so i can tow my locked and loaded jeep Cherokee to the trail when needed

What brake controller do you have? Here's a comparison of the more common controllers out there. What kind of brakes does the trailer have? Electric or hydraulic?

After reading yer post again, yer not using a trailer and yer towing yer trail rig with all 4 on the ground? Brake controllers won't work that way with a vehicle in tow vs a trailer. Yer gonna need more than that to make it work...

ill get some up tommorrow, its a 12k lb skidsteer trailer with electric brakes actually i do excavation actually, I have a cheby 2500hd and a 3500hd but its a pain to use them because i have to empty out tools plus i have a 100gallon fuel tank in each.. Figured i could use the toy just to tow semi local and hooking up the trailer brakes wouldn't hurt..
