Default po136 - o2 sensor circut malfunction (bank 1, sensor 2)

My check engine light came on a few days ago, so i took my truck to a parts store to see what the problem was. the reader came back with this error.

is this something that is "easy" to replace myself, or am i better off just going to a dealership?

its a '99 tacoma, 2.7 lt.

thanks for any help.

It could be a range of checks.Check wiring, connector and sensor for damage. Check connection for corrosion. Make sure there are no exhaust leaks. It might be easier to take it to a shop.

replacing an oxigen sensor is really easy, its the bank 1 sensor 2, i am not really sure about tacomas but in my tundra that would be driver side rear sensor, the sensor will run you at about $127 each at toy dealer you can also find them on line for around $100, a lot of people say that when one goes bad the other one ussually follows, if you could read the part # off original sensor pm me i can hook you up with good prices.

Thanks for the help guys, but I think I am going to have them check the frame before I look into getting this sensor (or whatever else it may be) replaced......
