Default anyone know if..

I had a wierd dream. but a V8 in the new tacomas?. cuz the chassis is light IMO and a aluminum 4.7L v8 would be nice to dump in to a light truck. I know that the tundra has the V6 and wondering if the V8 would bolt right in. any help would be cool. thanks in advance

You guys really need to post over at www.tacomaterritory.com

To answer your question anything can be done with money. I know there are a few people that have started this project and never finished to my knowledge. It's a lot more to it then just fabbing some new motor mounts. You have to thing about the ECU, wiring harness, exhaust, and etc. IMO you would be better off buying a Tundra or getting the S/C..

FYI: the V8 2UZ-FE engine is iron block/aluminum heads. it is not lightweight. the 1UZ and 3UZ series are aluminum block. the next generation V8 engine(4UZ??) will probably be iron too.
