03 tacoma drivers grab bar water leak

i know this is an old post bnut my truck recently started to leak from the drivers side handle and i dont want any problems to come out of it with it rusting. its only a couple drops and i never noticed it before until today and it has rained sun up to sun down. has anyone found a cure for this problem yet? please help if you guys can

Are you talking about the grab handle on the A-pillar?

In my many years of activity on Tacoma forums I've *never* heard of a water leak from there ...

... Or are you talking about some other handle?

Which drivers side handle? a-piller, inside door panel handle, outside door handle?
just seen you said "grab bar", so it must a-piller

so do you have a tacoma or a tundra?
has the windshield been replaced?
does it have a roof rack?

my tacoma has the factory roof rack and I've never had a leak, nor have I ever heard of anybody else having a leaking problem.

maybe it's just sad!!!!

yes from the a pillar grab bar

i have an 03 taco xcab, to my knowledge the winsheild has never been replaced, and it does not have roof rack or a sunroof.

its only done this one time when it was cold and rained the entire day, and now i can get it to replicate it

Hmmm... I don't know. Any problems around the door sills that might let water leak in?

I agree - the most likely cause is a pinhole leak in either the upper windshield seal or the upper door sill.

If it happens again (you meant you *can't* replicate it, right? ...) try to determine if it occurs while the truck is parked or only when it's been driven. If moving is required to get the leak, that would suggest it's the windshield seal.

Before I got my 05, I owned a 2002 tacoma and had the same leak could not find the cause that was one of the reasons i got rid of it.

well its been snowing here all day and ive been watching, no leak. so i went for a drive..... no leak.... so while i was driving i used an *** load of windsheild washer fluid and still no leak. so now im stumped

ok im at the kings toyota dealership right now actually, and im waitng to hear what they say about the leak. man i hate coming to the stealership

well i think we have found a fix! there is four small holes on the inside flap of the weatherstriping right by the grab bar! but the bad news is they wanted 181 bucks to fix it. so i laughed at them and said ill fix it myself. ill have to wait it out and see if it leaks anymore. wish me luck
and yes they had the badass highligt magazines there...... damn little kids filling in all the blanks before me though
