Default Too much boost?

Been trying different things with the tacoma to get it right and make it a crotch rocket like it was advertised to me as being before I purchased it.

Ok, so changed to the cooler plugs from urd, running an octane booster with 93 octane fuel and turning off od when needing to accelerate and od will not kick out when it does its low rpm ping. Say 50-70mph.

Well, I still get the popcorn sound from the engine if I slam the petal in 3rd gear at or above highway speeds. This is engine ping, detonation, right? Either too much, boost, too much timming or too much engine load or throttle, right?

What will fix that? Do I need to get a larger pulley to lower the boost or get the timming retarder from urd? Is the timming retarder included in the 7th injector kit or is more fuel the answer?
