2 Cats in 1?!?

Just had a really fun day getting my 1998 2.7L 4 cyl 4wd tacoma smogged. It passed the emissions easily, but the test center failed me because the sticker under the hood is saying that it has 2 catalytic converters ("twc+twc") when it only has one.
"Comprehensive visual inspection: failed".
Was on the phone all day, went to my muffler guy and another smog test place. The emissions book says the truck has only the 1 cat. Called Toyota HQ and heard from one of their in-house tech guys that the catalytic converter on this truck is a "2 in 1" type of cat and they faxed me the specs. The smog test place is making me go see the "referee" for my area.
Anybody else have this kind of issue?
I've never had a problem before smogging my truck.

Sure does.
Took it there last year. Passed it with no problems, but they said they must have missed it last year.

My 09 scion has one in the header and the scuba tank type deal under it, but its only one on the toys.
