Automatic fluid change, no filter?

My local dealer told me my 97 ext cab, 4wd, v6 and automatic would take 180 bucks to flush the tranny. I decided to take the risk of not getting all the fluid by just dumping the pan twice. I swear it was like more than 2 qts in the pan. I filled it up with castor for imports after 2 dealers said they have no fluid nor filters for the automatic, just to use dex 3.

I then ran it, cycled through the gears, let it idle some in nutral, then rechanged it.

To get it between the hot and cold line took ultimately 4 more qts.

Man, I cant feel it shift. It is soo smooth. It seems to accelerate quicker too.
