steering/suspension?

Hey all, i'm new to the forum and I got a question. i just recently bought a 99 tacoma prerunner xc sr5 auto with the 2.7 4cyl. anyways when i'm driving down the road, the truck seems to bounce alot, its like I feel every little bump in the road and around 55-60, the steering wheel shakes back and forth a little bit, nothing major but enough to get on your nerves. I took it to our local tire store and had them balance and rotate the tires. all four were just a little out of balance. it helped a little, but steering wheel still shakes a little bit, and i still can feel every little bump in the road. Any suggestions as what it may be? Thanks, Drew from bama.

What wheels and tires do you have? 'Stock'? Aftermarket - if so, what?

Sounds like you have 'bump steer' (tendency of wheels and steering wheel to follow contours in the road surface). This is a common occurrence with wider wheels and / or more aggressive tires.

stock or close to it anyway.....nexan roadian h/t 235-75-15 and stock calls for 225-75-15. i noticed today while i was driving home from work, that even my hood shakes. a guy i work with suggested that maybe the front struts are bad, could this be it?
