Traded my 2000 Tundra Limited in on a 2002 Tacoma Double Cab Pre-Runner TRD last March. Now have over 8000 miles on it and so far it's been a great truck.
I was all set to go with a DC 4x4 Taco(just wished for a long bed option ala Nissan).I use the full bed of my now Tundra 2-3 times a week.So when I heard of 0% on Tundras I went with it before I torched the Do(g)dge I was driving.Just wish I got Taco mileage @ fill up time.

I've had a 86 4runner that I put over 300,000 miles (500,000 kms) on to with a total of $160.00 Canadian in repairs that were not wear items like brakes, tires, shocks, belts etc. The things I replaced were idler bearing, altenator and oil pressure sender unit. Since then i have had 2 toy pick ups, a 91 & 92 (91 I rolled) then a 92 4runner and I still have a 95 Tacoma one of the very first. All together over 850,000 miles on the 5 vehicles (each top of the line at the time) with less problems than with any other make of vehicle that I've had for more than month. Can't wait for the next generation of Tacoma.

I still have an '87 w/ over 320,000 miles. I spent a little more in repairs, but not much. Alternator, clutch, starter motor. A few of the electrical things don't work (cruise control and rear defroster). I beat the heck out of it and it just keeps going.

Got a 2000 PreRunner TRD to go along with my Tundra. The wife mostly drivers the PreRunner now, but it still has a special place in my heart, My previous truck was a 1985 SR5 pickup, which I finally sold with about 115k on the clock, in about 1995. I didn't have a truck for 5 years and hated it... I missed my little pickup, which took everything I abused it with.
I used to have an '85 X-Tra cab Toyota with the 22R engine. The darn thing just kept going. I was in an accident (some jerk launched out of a gas station driveway and T-boned me, then said it was my fault....) after which I had to have it "put down". A very sad day indeed.
Now I have a very nice '02 Pre-Runner TRD. All black, no badges, Line-X, one rattle and one squeak that are going in to the dealer next week. I absolutely love this truck.
I did look at the Nissan, Chevy, and Fords but found the fit, finish, and performance couldn't come close to the Taco. Then, there's that little matter of an available factory SuperCharger!!!! Ahh, the things dreams are made of......
