Steering problems

Has anybody had any issues with the rack and pinion steering on these trucks. I recently had to replace the rack for my steering on my '02 Tacoma. I just bought this truck used 3 months ago. Wondering if this is common or was my truck abused in its past life.

To look at the truck I would say that it hadn't been abused, but looks can be decieving.

I am sure I will have a few more questions for you guys.

yea my 97 squeks when i do sharp turns to either side around and under 10, i dont know what this is due to, the mechanic found nothing wrong with my steering maybe the column is over greased and thusly over extended, i checked the power steering fluid and thats not it, sorry i dont know how to start my own thread

once those bushings go bad i can see why it would rub and vibrate
