1Gen-TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 1995 to 2004 Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "Confirmed - V8 to debut in 2004 Tacoma!", within the 1Gen-Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Great I was thinking, now I've got to think about this one. If the Tundra didn't come out with a true 4 door in a couple of years, I may have strongly considered the 4door Tacoma with a V8.
Hey, they put the V8 in the 4Runner which shared platforms with the Tacoma, so anything's possible!!
By the way, where in the heck is "Eastern Passage, NS?"
You must hold the distinction of being the TS member living the farthest East (at least on this continent).
I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, but went to college and worked back East (NY and CT) for a few years. While it gets cold here, with the winds blowing off the ocean, those Eastern winters chilled me to the bone. I don't even want to think how cold it must get up there in winter.
Actually here in Nova Scoita it isn't that bad, when compared to some areas like NY. Although NS is obviously further north, we miss alot of the storms and disturbances that seem to hit much of the eastern US.
It just amazes me when I watch some of the New England TV stations (New York as well) and see the tons of snow they get when I look outside my window and see nothing but sun!
Everyone has a misconception that Canada is a big freezer when actually its not. I'm not saying it doesn't get cold (it's 14 degree bellow zero [celcius] outside right now), but our summers get pretty hot (at least here in NS - as you move west it gets much colder).
we picture you guys walking around with big cowboy hats and gobbling down Big Macs all day
No, that would be our President G. W. Bush! Actually, I go to Canada often as I only live about 125 miles from the border. My mother in law is from England, so when I go up to British Columbia Vancouver area, I will get her English Teas, biscuits and chocolates. Its alwasy cool to see the different types of cars that the Canadian's get that are not available down here in Cowboy land. Oh yea! Its awesome to speed up there and when you get pulled over, you just say, "Oh I am sorry, I got those kilometer thingies mixed up". Works every time.
