How many miles do you have on your Tacoma WITHOUT any problems?

I have an 03 taco, xcab, TRD, 6CYL, 4X4, LEER cap, K&N Airfilter, Bridgestone Revo's. I purchased it with 21k miles on it and it now has 91000 and going strong. I just ordered a set of supersprings and might upgrade the stock shocks looking for suggestions and I might also buy a supercharger to help with the occasional towing and gas mileage overall. Plan on keeping it forever.

If LBJ means lower ball joint, then it is. I think I bought the identical model to yours about a month ago. One bent wheel is giving me fits, but the rest of the truck is great.

Have a 99' XCAB, V6, 4x4, MT, TRD-OR (locker)
Bought my truck at 188K, but had all the required maintenance done to it and that's it. Has just over 190K now, and nothing but regular maintenance.
Still runnin' like a charm!

When I did the deck plate mod on my 04 I placed a piece of screen wire in front of it, because I live down south and we have a problem with dirt dobbers and they would sure build in that big of opening, in fact I have covered all my electric motors for the same purpose.

97 Toyota Tacoma ext cab 4 cyl 4wd. Owned 11 years and 174,000 miles so far. Routinely maintained and still drives like new. Will keep until Toyota starts building trucks like they used to again.

Have had to fix the well known problems for this year truck, but worth it because it's still solid:
- new starter contacts 90000 miles
- one front tie rod replaced 100000 miles
- broken rear leaf springs and rear shocks replaced 120000 miles
- U joint replaced 120000 miles.
- oxygen sensors and mass air flow sensor replaced 160000 miles.

Original exhaust and battery lasted 10 years before needing replacement.
Drivers seat padding wore out years ago, but adding a seat cushion fixed that. Also had to replace front brake calipers this year when one seized up. Rear brake drums still original.

No rust despite New England winters. Generally 24 mpg in summer to 20 mpg in winter. Mileage went back up 50 miles per tank when I got all the sensors and stuff fixed last spring.

Anyone with high miles ever wore out the clutch?

I've got a 2000, 5 speed, standard cab, 4x4, 2.7 Tacoma with approx. 146,000. Runs like a charm!

1996 tacoma 4x4 3.4v6 175,900. I bought it new and have had to do a few little repairs over the years but it runs great.

I had a 2002 SR5 3.4L 5 speed extra cab that I bought used. The only reason I sold was too small for the kids, bought a 2004 Tundra D/C.

My Tacoma was awesome, but I did have a couple issues. First off my steering rack started too leak. Then my steering pump went on it. I bought this truck here in Canada, but it had been imported from the states. My mistake was not taking enough time too go over the truck. From outward appearances it looked awesome. The tires that were on it were very street oriented so I wasn't initially concerned about it being abused. I replaced the tires with Jetzon Trailcutter R/T's, awesome tire by the way, and when it was on the rack I noticed that the skid plate was dented to crap. So I can't really fault the truck for the issues I had.

I have a 99 reg cab 2.7 with 187,000 miles on her. I purchased it used last year with approx. 155,000. Since then, I have replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out and pilot bearing, front pads and rotors, toyota reman. starter, and a good tune -up and dumped all the fluids.. I love this truck and purchased ot as a daily driver to keep the miles off the 05 Xrunner.
My next mods include a limited slip or locker for the rear.

1998 PreRunner, Ext Cab, 4cyl, 2WD, auto, 2.7L. My girl has 204,000 miles and change on her and the only thing I've had to replace is the starter as well as the radiator a few months ago. Other than that, she runs like a champ. She has started to leave some oil lately on my driveway so I'm getting concerned. Nothing big, just a few drops every night so I need to figure out where it's coming from. I love this truck and I'm hoping she'll see 300k.

By the way, I'm obviously new here and I'm glad I ran into this website tonight. A lot of great info provided here so you all will be hearing from me!

I have a 2000 2WD 3.4L Prerunner with 83,000 miles. Runs like new, but I had the timing belt and water pump changed at 75,000 miles.

My only problem is the dash rattling on occasion.
