Default replacing power window switch

Hi all, I have a 2000 Tundra that the power window switch is starting to fail and I need to replace. It looks like the cover for the switches on the drivers side just pop off with a screw driver underneath, but I don't want to scratch or break my faux wood plastic. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try pulling up on the switch with your hand first, and then use something
to pry it out with, you shouldnt have to remove the door trim panel, if you
just pull up on the switch assy, it should pull out and then just plug your
new one in. I work in a bodyshop and I know this is how you do it, let
me know how it works out..

Thanks for the info! I thought it looked pretty easy, but with years of stereo installs etc.... you just never know. I'll check this out when I get back in town.

Thumbs up Re: replacing power window switch

The switch is easy replace. there is a clip on the front and rear of the unit. just pull up on it and slide a small flat head in there to release it.

well, I just got off the phone with the dealer, they told me they do not sell individual switches only the panel with the 2 switches and the mirror adjustment, 280 bucks! for a 50 cent switch! since my window is stuck down right now I need to look at other options. Any help would be appreciated.

I'll try the site you suggested now. I've visited a few other places and no luck so far. Good news is when I pulled the assembly out and messed with the switch, the window went back up. I'll let you know how it goes, thanks for the info.
