My 2000 2wd did it tonight, I finally got it going and the tranny runs as smooth as can be, have you attempted to clean the throttle body and did that work?

More than likely, the TCC solenoid in the trans is mechanically bad. That won' throw a code unless it is electrically bad. Very common in GM transmissions. I have also heard of it in Toyo Trans.

It has been many TS members experience here that the symptoms he's describing is usually caused by MAF and throttle body being dirty, especially with the mileage he has.
Clean the MAF and throttle body and add two cans of Seafoam to a full tank of gas.
$20 max cost.
Do a search for the procedures for cleaning the MAF.

Or, have the transmission replaced................$2,700 ?

Now I am a product of the public school system, but I know which one I'd do first.

I am slow and from Canada and Edmonton at that. The ocean is about 18 hours away and I have no idea what sea foam is? Can you please fill me in?

It's good stuff and can be found at most any auto parts store like O'Reilly's, autoz one, NAPA, etc. Been around a long time and really does work. It has been used a lot by boaters for years.

they also make a throttle body cleaner called "Deep Creep" that is most excellent.
