So I am taking my 03 V6 4WD for the 60k tune up tomorrow to the dealership- Any advice or suggestions before I in and deal with this? Meanwhile the truck runs great .

I would lube yourself up first, because they are going to stick it in you....prepare to pay $450 - $500 for 60K service.

Good Luck!! Those 30,60, mile packages are ok if ya can't DIY and i trust NO ONE with my TOYS! It has to be Timing Belt only or i will trudge thru it all and enjoy screwing it up myself!! had a lotta bad service from dealerships
I would make sure they at least did what Toyota wants you to do Toyota Parts and Service
If you feel that you got your moneys worth thats all that matters but those packages are designed by DEALERS and they do a lotta non essential BS!!
One thing you might go ahead and do is a drain-and-fill of the transmission. I don't think that is something they would normally include in the service.
I just did my own 60k service: spark plugs, serpentine belt, pcv valve, coolant change, radiator hoses, oil & filter change and transmission fluid change.
60k is the recommended interval for a valve clearance check. Ask them for a chart of the measured clearances for all 32 valves so you will have an idea if any of them will need a shim change (now or later).
So i took in my 03 V6 for the 60 k Tune-up. The Dealership let me have the 5.7 Tundra for the wknd, this is one mean Machine,it will be hard to part with...
Has this happened to anyone then end up buying the new truck?
