Question Leveling vs. Body Lift=???

New to the site...I want to replace my stock wheels (I think they are 17") to either a 18" or 20", but they won't fit in the front wheel well without bringing the body up. I am in need of some expertise. Any recommendations? All replies would help!

I own a set of 265/70/R18 and they fit with the standard level of the truck. I have had no problems with rubbing.

I have Michelin tires with Helo wheels. Before the Michelins, I had a set of Nittos, in which my opinion I think are better. They actually last longer to. What is hard with my wheel setup is that they only make a few tires that work with what I have. I tried to fit Falken tires onto my truck, but they were to large. The reason why I went with such a large tire with rubber is becasue of the roads that I was driving on. I was afraid that I would bend the wheel with some of the potholes around town. Below is an image of my truck with my tires. Hopefully this can help.

I'm running 265/60R18 Firestone Destination LE tires with plated 4Runner Limited wheels and, as you can probably see from the photo, I've got lots of room...no rubbing or other issues. I'm at stock height...no lift...no level...no worries!

you can fit 24s under stock suspension... it's the tires that will make or break you. For example right from the dealer the XSP has 20s. You can throuw 295 (I think 45 series) tires on those.

I like the wheels on you truck. Can you still use the truck for hauling and towing with those wheels and tires? I currently have the 16x8 Ivan Stewart wheels but would like to go to an 18in wheel.

Stick with seventeens and get some big mud tires. PLEASE don't do a body lift! They just look bad and don't gain you anything except tire clearance.
Go with a good quality suspension lift. whether a spacer lift, or new adj. coilovers. Wheelers offroad has stuff for your truck. I'm guessing you would like your truck to look Badass!, not like a poser mobile. Anyway, good luck and do what you feel most comfortable with.

My truck can still pull a trailer with no worries. I have had no trouble at all. My tires are wider than current wheels found on Tundra Vehichles (including Ivan Stewart). These tires are just as wide as the fender flares. These look great when looking down the side of the truck. Again, I have had no problems at all.

I have 20"s on my truck.
With 275/55/20 Cooper Zeon LST tires, I get tire rub at full turn. I believe a 1" spacer kit up front will fix it though.

if i had to choose which one i would have done, i would go with a leveling kit way before a body lift. if you go body, you will keep your stock ride but you will have ugly gaps between the frame and the bed and everywhere else for that matter.
