Just because a tire doesn't last 50k miles doesnt mean its not a GREAT tire.

I have a lot of clue dude on tires been driving Tundras since they first came out and Goodyear tires are crap..You couldn't get 20k out of Good year and there Tires thread are far from ideal on trucks and Suv tires.

My parent had those Pos Good year's on there avalon idealy suited the tires are noisey and They replaced them with Toyo's and much happy overall . My experice on Good year is the wear factor rates very low in my book i've seen them and very likely way it's a factory oem because of price.I can put them down all i want But based on seeing how bad of a tire they are I wouldnt look back on it.

My 97 ram came with goodyear wranglers that were complete trash and had worn down to nothing by 13k. The stock bridgestones on my truck only had a little over 16k on them when they came off today. Tires must be judged by their construction and their UTQG rating and the fortera tripletred has a rating of 600. My bridgestone duelers 840's were 300. I drive aggressively so I don't expect for these tires to last 60k like goodyear says they will. If you keep tires for a long time they'll dry rot before they hit their mileage life.

I have a clue when I used to work in the tire and Rim business smart one
Let's say it like this I know very well Off roading type tires do Not last the 60k as stated on there warranty so this is nothing new in My book. What I will say is this Toyo makes a top grade Car and passenger Tire however on the Open Country T/a which I had on my 00 Tundra they didn't last 20k and I con sire that a bad investment on my end for what i payed on them. You see Jetes When your around the car business like i was you tend to know you stuff and Frankly to be very Honest Goodyear has never been a premium tire in my book and never will . Michelin and Kuhmo are very good premium tires yea you pay a lot more for them but the wear factor surly is the best aspect of all.Thread and rubber compound play a huge roll and these tires indeed deliver that on wear and longevity

Cheers Erik M

yeah ive seen alot of retards at tire and rim shops who think they know it all too! Obviously you are only buying tires for the wear ability, so you have no clue on what tires are good and what are bad. My advice is stop acting like you know everything about tires. The tires only last 20k miles probably because you dont know what rotating them is

Good Morning Jetes

you have some nerve to say that I don't rotate my tires and How would you know that dude LOL? Yea People do buy tires on it's ablity to perform. Wear also comes into huge consiration during a purchase esp at $180 plus a tire so you do that math there. My Tires didn't last because the thread design on the open Country Ta is mainly suited for Off Road type use many Tire shop will inform there customers that due to that very design the wear is expected to be radical different then a Normal LT truck tire.Offroading tires are subjective to different wear patterns but im sure you know that too (roll eyes).

I put Toyo open country H/Ts on my 00 about 5000 miles ago. So far good tire, much better than the Rugged trails that came off, I got a great price at a local dealer, $450 for everything installed with lifetime rotations and balancing. I only drive highway and do a little soft roading during hunting so I didn't want a A/T tire. Living in WI with winter coming, interested to see how they do.

I am on my second set of Bridgestone REVOS. They cost about $700, but if you hit the rebate, you can usually save another $75. They are great in wet, snow and mud and very quiet on the highway (I commute about 45 miles a day on the interstate). I looked at the LXT and spoke to some people who own them. They wear like iron, but do lose some of there traction in the wet after about 30k. I got about 50k out out my first set of REVO's. I would have left them on longer (they were still legal when removed) but winter is coming fast.

ok enough of the "dude" and "LOL". Obviously you didnt do something right with the toyos since my dunlop mud rovers i had on my tacoma went for 25k miles and they went down the highway a good bit when not in the mud. Anyways have fun wasting your money and thinking that tire companies are out to get you!

sounds like a personal issue why ain't I surprised:roll eyes:
obvious from a few of your post addressed to other people on hear you don't take constructive criticism very well and hey sorry for your loss there . This fourm is all about advice some might have opinions and other's just provide them Personally on record Good Year Tires are decent but far from premuim rated I just know Quality and these Tires arn't that I guess when you were in the bussiness you tend to know stuff.

Leave it at that

Good day ..

"hey dude LOL. You are such a tire expert dude, what tire shop or garage do you own, dude? Dude, anyone who only buys highway tires knows everything on tires! Wow you have almost 6k posts, what do you do all the time? man dude i wish i knew everything about tires as you do, Dude!
learn some proper english and stop acting like you are know everything, you don't! Oh, and get a real bike those crotch rockets are foreign pieces of junk. You could really fit in with the honda civic crowds that hang out in parking lots with that yamaha you got! Get a harley then you can be a real man.

But hey have a great day!"

Look everybody jetes tries to be Nice on a Pm but really is a Jerk
Don't bother wasting your time on a Pm with me dude you colors have already been presented online I think it's well stated enought About 6k on post history well been a member a lot longer vs you (sept 00) and hey at your rate you have no room to talk.Last topic on proper English this is a forum not a dam spelling bee if you feel the need to criticism other's in this manner it's your problem not mine

Cheers

P.s Harleys are real bikes Last I checked they didn't make Sportbikes so thus I wouldn't be intrested in that Period Buell makes a good bike with Harley engines but Yamaha is better on the Sportbikes side .Oh yea what do you own?

oh by the way since I hated Dun lops i tend to think Good year suxx too since it's the same company. You guys want to praise these tires might want to think about your claims there have been plenty of law suit against them and knowing very well I wouldn't buy these tires for My family's rides Thread compound is very high in my book.
