Default Splash Guards

My just recently acquired 2005 DC did not come with splash guards and I'd really like to get a set. I just called my local dealer and those they were quoted at $80 each without the attaching hardware. Surely they can be had a little less than that can't they???? I can't see spending almost $400 for splashgards. The molded OEM look nice but I'm open to suggestions.

That's ridiculous. We just bought an '08 Highlander to complement the Tundra and it too did not come with mudflaps. I went to the dealership and picked up a full set including mounting hardware for about $70. I don't see how a set for the Tundra can be $80/ea w/o hardware.

You need to look further to see if they are sold as an accessory kit. As a factory option (port installed) they were only $60.00-80.00 installed. They may or may not be offered as an accessory kit, but what the dealer is looking up is a crash replacement part that is usually paid for by the insurance company via a body shop. "Kits" if offered are always cheaper, and usually come with instrictions and all fasteners. You need to state if you have fender flares/trim or not.

LRH,

That sounds like good advice. I'll check to see if they sell it as a kit.

Big Al1,

Were these OEM new off ebay or used? If they were aftermarket, how did you like them? What seller? Many thanks.
