Default knock sensor bank 2 which side ?? 2000 v8

2000 V8 4dr 4WD
CEL OBD-II P0330

I just pulled my intake many and behold right side knock sensor electrical connector is hanging by a threat, about completely snapped off.
It's right under the water bypass pipe and in front of the starter.

Question is: Is right side sensor "Bank 2" as the P0330 code sez?
Chilton 68609 shows V6 right side as "Sensor 1" but no label for the V8 picture.

I'm being cheap and hoping I only havta replace one (at $170 each) and just looking for a sanity check from someone out there.
It was a pain getting in there so I'll probably do both anyway.

Also...
I just got this truck back from the local mech who fixed a coolant leak at the front of the water bypass pipe (O-ring where it goes into the water pump).
Any mech advocates out there that can convince me it's coincidence this code popped on the way home from the shop? };^[
The cable hanger attached to the water pipe is even bent and the clip is broken off...

I am not going to try to convince you of anything but I will try to help you out of your current dilemma. Bank one is the drivers side.

See if these help you.

Dang that was fast!
Much thanks!

SO the broken looking one matches the P0330 code.
Do you rec replacing both vs just the one?
How often do they go bad?

This might warrant a separate thread but...
I see lotza carbon (?) in the intake ports and am wondering how much trouble I should go to to remove it?
Any other stuff I should do while I have it apart?

Thanks in advance.

I would only put the broken one in. I have never seen or heard of one breaking.

As far as your carbon build up concern. You might try to clean some of it off with some break cleaner. Be very careful not to flood any cylinder or drop any debris in there. When you get it back together you might try to run some sort of carbon cleaner through a vacuum line.
