A very basic question here. I'm looking at a '02 Tundra Access cab SR5 TRD. What does the TRD get you? Any input on a fair price for 1 owner, very clean '02 w/ 95K on it?

First, let me say, I do not know for sure.
I can say that my '01 TRD has bilstein shocks, a skid plate and some stickers. I think that was about it, but I can check the window sticker tonight if you want.

PS. It's worth whatever you as a willing buyer and a willing seller can agree on. I'd use KBB and Edmunds as a starting point and go from there based on condition and availability. I got mine for a fair price to me and that was all that mattered.

TRD will get you 4 bilstien shocks 2 trd stickers sometimes a skid plate andddddd thats about it. My 00 was a "non trd" 4x4 v8 in which i installed a three inch skycacker lift (shocks, struts, aal's) wich is actually an upgrade to the TRD pacage so i went ahead and ebayed me some genuine trd logos and stuck em on my bed .. violla a trd sr5 v8 4x4 tundra.. id say if the price is right go for it! you will most likely love it anyway

You do get progressive rate springs (at least in '06 you did). I test drove both a non-TRD DC and a TRD DC. I liked the ride in the TRD DC better, plus it came with the limited slip rear end (bonus!).Also, had color matched fender flairs, and (dealer/port installed?) running boards.
Not sure what it came with in '02, but it really doesn't matter in a used truck (as I'm sure the tires have been replaced by now). Buy what you like the best after test driving a few.

I have an 02 Limited TRD Off road 4X2 truck. This truck has baaalls no bs. engine is stock no aftermarket exhaust or intake. I drove an 06 and it did not come close to my truck in terms of power on demand. My 02 TRD has Limited slip as far as I know. I have gone to beach and tried this: one tire on asphalt and one on sand and when I take off and give it gas I can feel it kicks the truck forward.

Limited slip was an option you didnt have to get the TRD to get it. I have a 02 TRD 4x4 i bought new. The limited slip was only on the late 02 as far as i know. I bought mine in may 02 right off the truck and the shop had never seen a LSD rear end. When i got to 15k and wanted all my fluids changed and they didnt even have the additive. I drove to the GM dealer and got it fo them. The best way to be sure is to look under it and see if there is an LSD sticker on the pumkin.
At least they have circled the problem.
