You need to find out at what distances they took each of those readings. Then compare

For those who want hids I do not upgrading your stock lights but adding a pair of additional driving lights to your truck and wiring to your hi beams. In California you can legally run two driving lights on you truck with out covers as long as they are wired directly into your hi beams and have no other switch to turn them on/off with. This way you can quickly turn them on and off and not blind oncoming traffic.
As for the Baja Designs Ledgend LED light it is very bright. The color temp is right at 5000k so they produce a very nice soft white light. They also offer a smoother, more evenly dispersed light pattern than a reflector based light. You can also change between patterns by simply swapping different front lens covers. They do draw a little more power than a hid but not much. Current lights only draw 50watts. Eventually LEDs they will as efficient as hids. LED based forward projecting lights are the wave of the future.
