1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Lift & tires done!!", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I'm surprised at how it rides. It doesn't feel much different from stock. The rearend is a tad stiffer, but I think it helps the ride more than it hurts it. The tires add some noise, but not nearly as much as I expected. With the windows down on the freeway, I have to be listening specifically for them to notice.
The tires fit damn near perfect! There is a small amount of rubbing on the wheel well at full lock, but it's easy to avoid.

A REAL truck.
looking good. the rear looks lower then the front, but then again, could just be how that picture is taken.
It's not, if anything it's about 1/2" higher. The driveway is at a slight slope, plus the perspective of the picture makes it look lower. I'll take some more pics tomorrow when I get a chance.

When you look at the wheelwell gaps it looks pretty level to me. I think it is just the picture as you say.

Looks good, get you some 1.5 or 2 inch wheel adapters to push those factory wheels out and clear up the rubbing issue. Will give it a wider stance and fill in those flares and look even better. Congrats, great looking truck.

Agreed on the adapters. get some spidertrax 1.25" spacers on that baby!

That would probably create issues with them rubbing on other areas instead. I hate wheel spacers. I'm one of those weird people that like their tires inside the wheelwell. I bought these tires with function in mind, not looks. It's a huntin' truck, not a show truck!
