Default new to the site

Hi, im new here and have a couple questions. well first of all i've had my tundra for about a year and havent done anything to it. i only use to to pick up parts with and rarely drive it. its a v6 but its ok. i got it from my dad for a really good price. but i am thinking of lifting it just a little and getting some wheels. i found the wheels i want already and they are 16x8, what size tires and what type of lift should i look into? i just want a slight lift, nothing too crazy for now. im more used to driving lowered cars, but always had a thing for trucks. any help would be greatly appreciated and pics with specs would be sweet. thanks in advanced

welcome aboard. as for your lift, depends on how deep your pocket is. if you just want to level out the front, you can just get some front spacers, usually 2" will do. another norcal member, cool.

sorry, its a 03 and i want maybe like a 3in lift? tire size? i have no idea really, thats why i was hoping soemone can show me some pictures of thers with a small lift and some 16s. i dont want the tires to be toooo small, but then again i dont want too big of a tire where its going to need a higher lift. budget wise, this is just gonna be my dd since im still working on my civic at the same time, so it would be good to spend less. i found some adjustable fronts, dont know how these work, but how come they only have fronts and not rears? i really dont know anything about these trucks. but i love the way they look. thanks for the help.

integragsr? sacramento? so am i!!!! what do you drive daily? im in like a white 03 civic 4door. with oem lips and white te37, but im on my mfs right now. hoping to get the tundra lifted soon so i can start driving that around

the 5100's has grooves in the shock itself and depending on where you but the perch, that is how you achieve lift. when you get the 5100's, you do not need anything else to lift the front end. you then reuse your springs and supports. just make sure you put the c-clip on the right way or they will pop out when you are trying to put it back together. this is probably what i would have done if i had to do my lift all over again.

Search for recent posts from DeebsTundra (Andy). He just finished adding a 5100 kit to his truck, there should be some pictures around. I've seen it in person, very clean and should perform great offroad.

Looks good, too. Not sky high, not dragging the bottom.

What are you gonna use the truck for? Any offroad at all, or is this for looks?

im more of a honda guy, im just using this to tow my car to the tracks and using this carry my tools for work. but the lift is mostly for looks i guess. i want some 33s and i hear i would have to lift the fronts at least if i want to fit those. even tho this will be my daily, i would like it to be nice while towing my car to the tracks.

but after looking thru this forum and doing some research on lifted tundras, im thinking about getting a newer one once i pay off my wifes car. get a real lift and go play in the mud. but for now this little v6 will do
