1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "what lift do i have?", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
i've had my 05 DC for about a year now and still haven't found out what lift i have. i know i have spacers in the front and i'm guessing aal's in the back, but thats all i know. in the first pic its sitting on 285/70-17 BFG a/t, but now i've got 295/70-17 terra grapplers with no rubbing issues. if someone can tell anything from the pics please chime in

Nothing too fancy, just better than stock!
also, your truck has the wider fender wells than alot of the other tundras. that accounts for being able to fit 295's without rubbing.
eh? what do you mean he has wider wells?

well my main point is that i want to get another inch or 2 out of the front, so how can i do that? here's how it sits now. the fender wells are at 37.5in up front and 39in on the rear. i like how the rear sits, but i want the front to be level or a tad higher.
that has to be a 2.5" spacer kit, cause its got the 1.5" top spacer and the 1" preload spacer in there. The back has to have an aal, cause the tundras i didnt think had 4 leafs + the overload leaf stock. I thought it was 3 + overload???

good catch.... just a weird AAL. Most usually go between the lowest leaf and the overload.

so what route do i need to take to get 2 more inches out of the front for the least amount of money?
if you want it level you have to swap to either a 3" toytec style spacer or go up to a real suspension lift i.e. tough country or RCD. Don't stack spacers. I know you want it level but it is good to have it a little higher in the back if you are towing or hauling.

i'm shooting for looks now though. i've already pulled my 99 gmc sierra on a 20ft car trailer behind this and it sat just fine with everything hooked on. i just want more of the baja look for a DD
