Default Engine complatibility???

Could anyone tell me if I could use a 2001 4runner 3.4L engine in my 2000 Toyota Tundra which also has 3.4L. My truck is a standard and I think that all newer 4runners are automatics? Anyone have some insight on this?

I don't see why it wouldn't fit. You could get that same engine in a 2000 tundra. you would just have to use your original tranny.

The engines should be relatively the same. There may be some other hoses attached that will need to be re-routed, but nothing major.
