Thanks to info on T/S I've replaced the "drive" bulb in the dash. 15 minutes out and back in. Now I need to replace the bulbs behind the AC/Heater knobs. How do you get to those? I think the outside bezel is just supposed to snap off but I'm afraid I'll scratch something . I've got a 2000 Tundra EXCAB.
Thanks for any help I get. Papalou

The ac/heater knobs are even easier. Pull off all three knobs and you'll see 2 screws. undo those, then push the top of your vents in at the top (vents on the side of your radio) and it will expose 2 more screws. undo those. Get a little flat head pocket screw drive and pop off the cluster and you're there.

Exactly what he said. Except the last step, no need for a screwdriver. You can just wiggle it back and forth just slightly. It'll loosen up enough so you can pry it off with your fingertips. Very simple, you won't break anything.
After that, the climate control panel is right there. Remove the wire harness and have at it.

My drive light has died on me 2 times. The 1 time the dealer charged me $150 just to install the bulb. About 6 months later, the bulb died again. I said the heck with it. I'll leave it as it is. My luck disassembling the guage cluster will result in me having to spend a crap load of money tryting to fix my stupid mistake.

Once you've done it, you'll kick yourself for paying someone else $150.
All it takes is a 10mm, a phillips head, a LED replacement bulb, and about 15 minutes total.

I'm gonna have to do this too. Also, from what others recommended if you're gonna replace 1 you may as well do all the ones behind the knobs. I'm gonna have to get behind there anyway to install a PA12.
First I want to thank boatbuilder who told and showed us how to get to the instrument cluster to change those lights. I also had to change the lights in the radio/ temp cluster. To get to those all you need is a phillips head screw driver. Push the air vents in at the top. There is a screw behind the top of each vent. Next pull the heater/AC knowbs and remover the screws behind each one. You will now be able to remove the assemblyand get to the bulbs. Have fun and save $90.00 in labor at the dealers.

It's nice to say thank you. But no need to start a whole new thread.
