Engine knock, rattling noise...muffler update!

2006 Tundra DC, 4WD, 36,459 miles on my truck. Two weeks ago I was experiencing a strange rattling noise coming from the front right engine. The noise sounded like small rocks being tossed around in a tin can. I drove the truck up to the dealership to get it inspected. After the initial inspection, the mechanic found a large hole towards the rear of the muffler. The welds holding the muffler in place opened, resulting in the loud noise. Fortunately, the dealer was kind enough to replace the muffler system for free even though I was 459 miles over my warranty. They replaced the muffler system from the catalytic converter back to the pipes. The estimated cost to repair this is right around $1,200 if the dealer replaces it. I highly recommend inspecting the muffler, converter, and pipes just in case someone else experiences what I did. Just thought I would give you guys the heads up!
