THAT'S IT...KEEPIN 'ER STOCK UNLESS SOMETHING BREAKS AND I NEED TO REPAIR IT...IT'S A TRUCK...AND I TREAT IT LIKE ONE!!!
It is very hard to say what size drop you might need as every trailer is a bit different. For example, on a galvanized roller trailer with 14" wheels for a 22' boat, I need a 5 1/4" drop and use the same drop for my snowmobile trailer.
For the Aluminum bunk trailer I have for my 26' boat with 14" wheels, I need a 2" drop, so it all depends.
I'm not sure about all Full Size trucks having their receivers higher than ours. I have buddies with full size trucks and they need only 2" drops to pull the snowmobile trailers we all use while I need a 5 1/4" drop. I think, at least on the factory hitch my 2004 Tundra came with, it is tucked up higher than the receiver on the full size trucks.
Wow did the front tires stay on the ground ? I had about 1700 lbs of sand in the back. I was hitting the bump stops with any dip in the road. With 3200 lbs of concrete you must have been sitting on the bump stops.
Yes LOL
I nly had to go few blocks from home depot (my truck was on bump stops)

I tow my 21' Sea Ray Bowrider, it's about 4500 lbs with the trailer and loaded with normal gear/fuel, etc. Drove it 400 miles from the dealer with no problem.
Hauled: most so far has been an 800 lb wooden playground set from lowes and on the same weekend 75 bags of mulch (don't know the weight of the mulch, but 75 bags of it barely stayed in the truck and were mounted as high as the cab and all the way to the end of the tailgate.
Towed: Only thing so far has been a 12'x6' uhaul trailer, which was last night. Empty I never even knew it was behind me, but once it was loaded it was a little more noticible, but not bad. Towed it across town for a charity event loaded with supplies for the event, and if I had to guess it maybe had a total weight of around 3k to 4k pounds loaded. Still didn't break a sweat though, just a little more low gearing to get up to speed. No comparison to the colorado I had before this though, as it would have strained a lot more with the trailer. I did notice the $3.70 per gallon running away much quicker though. LOL
Only had my truck about 1.5 months, so this is all so far.

How did it pull the skid steer adn how far did you pull it? Was it a one time thing or is it more frequent? I have a 5000# tractor + trailer + implement and I'm worried about the 03 RCLB doing it. Hel* if it'll pull a skid steer I should be golden. Put away the flamethrowers on being over the limit.....

I still pull my skeed steer RC-50, with out any issues.
Pulls great, and if you know how to load your trailer properly, and have good trailer brakes, I don't see why not.
Once I had to go over 30 mile one way with it, and reach speed over 55mph, truck pulled it with out any issues. I have Teckosha Brake controller, and 11k trailer.

I towed a pretty big atv trailer with my yfz 450 and my buddies Brute force 750 which is a heavy machine. No problems at all even at 80 on the freeway! Love the V8.
Lots of towing, I have a car to drive if I don't need the truck.
I have an 01 ac, and I tow a horse trailer: but with donkeys- not so heavy as horses.
I had a 3500# tt which towed OK, but you could feel the weight, even with a WDH it was not an easy pull and going sloooow I could get maybe 12 mpg at best. I pulled that trailer from Florida out to Burning Man and beyond last August and spent about $2000 for gas.
I sold it.
I bought a2300# tt much easier! On the trip to pick it up I implemented some gas saving tips and could not believe the difference.
1. Removed brush guard
2. Filled up when the tank was 1/2 empty instead of waiting until the fuel light came on like I usually do.
3. Preferred filling up at night or early morning. Cooler gas is more dense.
4. Drove 65
5. Used a scan gauge so that I could monitor my MPG habits
RESULT: I got 22.9 MPG from GA to Indiana. Best I ever got!
Towing the little trailer on the way back, maybe 14MPG. But I didn't go that slow.
I also pull an open trailer with a tractor, golf cart or hay.
