1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Tundra's Worth", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Thought of trading mine but the sales person at the dealer said 2005 DC 4X4 Ltd (With all the goodies - nav, rear entertainment, etc) doesn't worth anything anymore (I was offered $27,000 ten months ago at the same dealer). He didn't really mentioned how bad exactly but it sound scarry and the reason was gas price and our economy.
Will it means that the new Tundra will soon be worthless too?
I love my truck but knowing it doesn't worth anything is really sad

All vehicles are worthless other than to the person that needs/wants it...its just how it works. I'm not happy about the fuel prices but I love this truck and need it for certain business and personal uses. Put it for sale in TS

Try proof reading so the rest of us Rhode Islanders don't look so un-educated. In this market our trucks are not worth much for the obvious reason, news flash, your house value went down also.
Sorry about the post 'mytundrarocks', I didn't mean to insult your intelligence. I am sure it will not affect readers view on Rhode Islanders since we are talking about trucks, not a collective global economy (My truck is just a toy for me). Again, I am very sorry.
And for those who don't know Rhode Island, we have about eight colleges in our tiny states. Brown University has one of the best Phd program in economics - please feel free to check it out.

I agree. Write. Proof. Then post.

Brown may rock but it appears as if the Rhode Island public school system is failing.

I'm sorry for slamming you, after re-reading my post I'm sure the only one that looks like a jerk is me. I'm sure the downward spiral will only continue for quite some time, keep your truck and know you have one nice ride. My 05 DC 4x4 TRD SR5 is worth more to me than ANY dealer would be willing to pay so enjoy your truck til after the election and then trade it in, I'm sure January 20 we'll all see some relief at the pumps. I hope there are no hard feelings. If you would like I'll give you my extra TS sticker, I work in Prov and I already put 1 on my truck window.

We’re good ‘mytundrarocks’ - I’d love the stickers though.
I live in Pawtucket so it is easy to find me. I fly huge remote control helicopters and if you know someone who is into RC stuff in RI and MA (plane, helicopters, cars, trucks); chances are they knew me. I am flying at Beattie Field which is across from Amgen or at New England Heli Crew in Mansfield, MA.
I've got 4 ( i think ) t-maxxs, a Jado, a 3.3 revo an e-maxx and all kinds of stuff. My Father flies some BIG planes at the turf farm, Neil if you know him. PM me for the sticker, I work down town.
I appreciate and thank you for the grammar lessons but this is a truck forum so please forgive us for not writing properly. You posted my post twice to try to make your point. The first one is fine but you really got my attention on the second one. So, if for whatever strange reasons you’re compelled to bash me please address me personally and not our society in general. We can take our little discussion outside this forum – just you and I without involving the rest of Rhode Island.
One more thing, I am not a product of Rhode Island’s public school so please stop the insult on the fine Rhode Islanders who graduated from our public school system.
