Thank you ScanGuageII!!!

Without you, my gauge needles would be all jacked up. I removed my needles to scrub off the green tint, replaced them, then... "P00F!" all jacked up zeros and incorrect readings. Luckily the SGII was there to give me some accurate readings at idle of the RPM, Voltage, and FWT. Now I'm back in business; the tach is even more accurate now than before. Whew!

FWIW, I did take pictures of the needles on the gauges before I stripped them off, but obviously I missed some fine print. I took pics while the truck was off, not at idle. D'oH!

But now everything is fixed and all white.

So my best friend (the UPS driver) dropped off my SGII today. I can't think of any mod that I've installed that was so easy. I used my wire fish tape and slid it down between the bottom of the steering column and the lower dash panel. Hooked the SGII cable to it and pulled it through. Connect to OBDII, connect to SGII, and voila.

I programed A/F and HP under the Xgauges and set my display for those plus AI and MPG. The HP numbers didn't make much sense so I switched it to MPH +3. This matched my Pioneer Nav numbers exactly. So back to the point of this thread. The truck showed an ambient temperature of 67F and the IA held steady at 78F while driving around town. While sitting in the drive way it got up to about 86F. I did notice that when I started back up about 10 minutes or so later, the temp was at 101F. It came back down into the 80's pretty quick though. It was very interesting to see and keep in mind this is bone stock intake, with the original air filter. I look forward to messing with it some more on my road trip next week.

check out my thread about the UniChip here. But basically without the chip installed but other listed mods, I'm getting around 250hp @ 4000rpm on a freeway entrance that is approximately a quarter mile.

as for temps
fWT: 190 - 195
fIA: 90 - 110
outside temp: 85 - 100

sometime at long periods of idle with a/c on or typical los angeles traffic, i've seen the fIA hit 145

Hey guys, I'm selling my SG II unit unfortunately. While it is a great device that'll teach you more about your vehicle, I realized I can't afford it at the moment and so I am putting mine up for sale. It is practically in brand new condition, there are no marks whatsoever, everything works fine (check out the link below for pics). I used it on my 01 Sequoia and it showed the HP information, I'm sure you will get more data for a Tundra. It will come in its' original box and manuals (and even the adhesives that I never used) and of course the SG II unit and 6ft cord. If you're interested, please send me a pm. My asking price is $130.

Out of curiosity, are you getting your outside temp from the SG or the factory thermometer? I saw there is an x-gauge for ambient temp but have not been able to get it to work on my 05 DC.
