It might be so however you gain top end and lose a bit of low end (i think!!!) but you lose MPG. If thats what you want go for it. It should make some really nice intake sound when you PUNCH IT

From all that I have heard, there is no gains to be had with an aftermarket intake. BUT the one thing I have heard and have been thinking to try myself is to remove the charcoal pre-filter in the top of the stock air box. I have heard of people gaining 1 or 2 MPG increase with this mod. There is a thread here somewhere about how to remove the charcoal pre-filter without damaging it and being able to re-install it again if desired. Worth a try.

it is pretty restrictive looking so remove it is probably letting more air in.I removed mine about 8 months ago no regrets here we don't have emissions test. With all our refineries the pollution cars put off is the least to worry about.

Automobiles are actually one of the more significant contributors to this.

Did you notice any difference/improvement in fuel mileage or performance?

Fuel mpg stayed about the same maybe .5 mpg more but I have noticed a bit more snap off the line.

I have the k&n fipk intake and love it. I had no loss or gain in mpg, it sounds amazing and was built perfect. Ive installed other brands in other vehicles and always end up going with the fipk intake. I cant tell you how mean it sounds when your on the gas.
