1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Shopping for Floor Mats", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I have not tried weathertech but I must say my husky liners or the boom. They catch liquids and holed them from the carpet. They cover pretty much all the carpeted area.
Also, try RealTruck.com, they have a coupon code for us: TUNDRA. 5 or 10% off at checkout.
I have factory all-weather mats in gray. But if I had to choose aftermarket mats, I would have bought the WT's. They just look my style.

I have husky Liners in 06Tundra DC front and back and I love them. They catch all the gunk and muck wet or dry. We have Weather Tech's in our Camry because they look more refined then the diamond plated look of the Husky Liners. My only regret is I should of gotten black or gray. I got tan/beige. They look nice but gray would of looked betta.
I have owned both. i originally bought all-weather floor mats and loved them. I wore out a hole in the drivers side and I decided to purchase the formliners that you are looking at. I installed them in my truck and I did not like the fitting of the liners. There were gaps and it did not fit flush with the carpet. I was able to return the liners and get another all weather mat for my drivers side.
I put the OEM all weather matts in and really like them as well. Really well made and catch anything that falls in them, i.e 1 cup of coffee, busted zip bag of cereal and a full 12 oz of beer.... all in the same day.
i have both types of weather techs.
i put the the universal 1's, that they claimed to be for my tundra in my wife's rav4. the same day i got them. they fit wall to wall, in the rav.
and
i bought the floor liners in black. they are a exact tailer made fit for the truck.
i also looked at husky liners.
my friends have them in there ford f250's.
in my opinion there is no comparision in quality from weather tech to husky.
weather tech are much better.
the oem weather mats are very well made, and have a tundra label.
maybe if someone know's how to post pictures of each type available already installed, i think it might help in his decision.
here in florida the heat worp's the husky liner's.
gorilla
I have used the OEM all weather and they leaked and wore out after 4 years. I have had the Weather Tech's in for 4 years and they are still like new and have never leaked.
They cost a little more but if you are keeping your truck for a while or live in area that gets a lot of snow they are well worth it.
I have Nifty Catch-All in my 06 DC. I like them because they are waterproof like the others and catch all the mud / water but they have a carpet look to them.
I have the OEM all weather mats and don't like em all that much. They're fine in summer and the drier months and maybe for occassional mud, but in winter the snow will accumulate and when it melts it leaks on the edges closest to the door. Eventually the salt from the melted snowpack crystallizes around the carpeting and the heads of the screws holding down your plastic sill plate covers will oxidize. For those in warmer climates, this may not be a problem, but I'm in the snow belt and am considering the WT FloorLiner linked in the first post above.
I put the OEM all weather matts in and really like them as well. Really well made and catch anything that falls in them, i.e 1 cup of coffee, busted zip bag of cereal and a full 12 oz of beer.... all in the same day.
