See if I'm not seeing this correctly. It may be different on the V6 than what you are describing.

That doesn't look like the resonator I could be wrong never looked under v6.Look under the truck just behind the y-pipe a few few in front of main muffler there should be a little muffler looking thing that the resonator.

Du'oh my bad, I thought you had a V8! The 4.0 V6 is laid out differently than the V8. It's been a while since I saw a V6 but if I remember correctly, the parts shown in the attached thumbnail are catalytic convertors. The V6 uses 2 small cats atached to the exhaust manifolds and 1 large cat after the Y-pipe. The rest of the exhaust may be different downstream too! the V6 model may not include a resonator, just a muffler. You'll have to look under your truck to know for sure. If there is a resonator, it still sould be mounted in the exhaust ahead of the main muffler.

That makes since. So I have four cats total? Cuz that picture duplicates on each side of the engine. manifold, little cat that looks like a little muffler then the cat that has a shroud around it then the y pipe.
