Default Bilstein 5100A front height setting

I just get the install done on the front Bilstein 5100A shocks. For what it's worth on a 2006 Double Cab SR5 4X4 the setting for leveling out the truck is 2nd from the top setting (one down from max). A few people suggested max setting and the tire shop actually went with what I asked them to do and set them to max but the front was higher then the back. It sits perfectly level at 4th setting. Thanks to everybody who gave me input on this.

Now.... next mod is Line Xing the Nerfs.

Pics will be tomorrow. It's at Toyota right now. They are going to check out the rear door latches. They aren't staying open by themselves when the truck is on a slight incline.

so what setting they set it at man?? You go saying back and forth max and then 4th.... You shouldve gone with MAX on front to minimize tire rubbing and settling down of coils... oh welll...

it will settle a bit... but ya the max setting will push the front about 1/2 inch higher.. max setting and an AAL for the win

I installed the diff drop kit myself. The boots are stock and have not put on different clamps........which I may. No grease flinging so far.

I just finished the installation of a set of 5100's. On my 2005 2wd SR5 access cab the second notch from the top netted 2.25" of lift. I think I will drive it awhile and see if it settles. It was only about a 1/4" more than I had wanted. I'm going to head down and align it at the shop I work at now. Curious to see what the caster angle looks like..It's truly is a great ride.

So then you have them set at about 2" of lift then? Looks damn
good, I like it alot. Looks like you need some 265/70/17's now to
take up that wheel well gap. Thats exactly waht I am planning
on doing to mine. No add a leaf or block??

Thanks!!

I am not sure as to the actual lift from stock. I should of measured before hand but didn't.

Those tires are 265/70/17 . Toyo's It seems like the Toyo's diameter is slightly smaller then other brands of the same size. I noticed this when we bought the same tires for our Xterra going from a different brand.

I bought those a few months before any thoughts of lifting/leveling the truck. I will have to wait till they wear out befor any thoughts of rims and tires happen.
